Ocean conservation is critical for the sustainable development of human society as the ocean is a critical component of the ecosystem that sustains the life of human beings. Educational game mobile application designed specifically for knowledge acquisition has been a popular and effective tool in developed countries to raise awareness of ocean conservation in an entertaining and engaging way. This study explored knowledge acquisition through an educational game mobile application designed to enhance people’s understanding about ocean pollution and protection.The research was conducted in a classroom environment with university students as the main participants and investigated how educational games can be used to inform people to become more aware of marine pollution and participate in the theme of marine environmental protection. The aim of this study is to investigate the learning outcomes and educational effects of the educational game application of ocean conservation and protection and to evaluate users’ feedback and levels of satisfaction on the experience for using the “educational games” application, as well as optimise the educational game application.
