Statement
Following the theme of transience, my final collection explores the fragile beauty of growth and change, with an underlying message of appreciating the hidden beauty found in the old.
Design for Interiors
The first sub-collection consists of a range of wallpapers and textile designs for luxury interiors, which work together to give homes a gentle, crafted and lived-in feel. Following lockdown restrictions and our increasingly online world, each design focuses on the idea of bringing the outdoors in, through the use of organic motifs and handmade natural colour.

Design for Fashion
The second sub-collection is designed for luxury womenswear. As well as interacting with nature, inspiration has also been found in an unlikely mix of discarded materials, such as vintage tins, old textiles and dried teabags. By providing a new context for seemingly worthless objects, the consumer is encouraged to seek hope and beauty in unexpected places. Consequently, the collection offers a fresh and optimistic perspective, at a time of environmental change and global uncertainty.
Fleeting Beauty : An appreciation of the gentle fading process of floral decay

Visual Studies
Translucent Collages
Collection 1 is a series of translucent collages, primarily consisting of dried teabags and pressed flower elements. By preserving and adding meaning to materials on the verge of disappearance, the first collection epitomises the art of reuse, acting as key inspiration for the overarching final collection.
Papercut Photography
Collection 2 consists of photographic images of three-dimensional, hand-cut paper forms. Drawing inspiration from skeletal natural structures, such as decomposing leaves, the second collection illuminates the fragility and fleeting beauty of decay in nature. Collection 2 invokes a sense of curiosity and wonder through the layering of intricate paper elements and the consequent shadows that are casted.
