Showcase

Statement

Still haven't found my style yet, but I am creating myself as a designer by developing collections across every market through experimentation, craziness and a little bit of courage.

ZARA X PHOTOGRAMS

This collection takes inspiration on photographers like Man Ray, Anna Atkins and Floris Neususs on their techniques of cameraless photography.

This portfolio showcases the use of cool and dark colours in their designs, enhancing some garments by placing my own photograms prints. Some designs explore the print position by layering different close-ups and cuts. The Zara Pre-Spring 2023 Collection is made to cater the femininity by having fluid designs and sophistication of dark colours into a season where we are used to see lively tones and colourful prints.

COLLECTION LINE-UP

LOEWE X ECUADORIAN CRAFT

COLLECTION

This collection is inspired by the intricate details and wonders found in Ecuadorian workmanship and handcrafted fabrics. The pages that follow will take you on a cultural journey through Ecuador, looking at things like shape, line and pleats in sculptural Ecuadorian culture, as well as embroidered details, colours, knit, and patterns in native textiles and traditional clothes from various locations.

Everything on these pages will be used to inspire the development of LOEWE’s new A/W 24 collection. A brand known for its dedication to craftsmanship will closely resemble and connect with this concept.

ALICE MCCALL X ANTELOPE CANYON

Antelope Canyon is a slot canyon in the American Southwest, east of Page, Arizona, on Navajo land. Upper Antelope Canyon and Lower Antelope Canyon are two separate picturesque slot portions inside the canyon. Tsé bighánln, which means ‘the location where water pours through rocks,’ is the Navajo name for Upper Antelope Canyon. Lower Antelope Canyon is known for its Hazdistaz, or’spiral rock arches.'(2015, Archive)

The different earth and warm colours, spiral and loose lines can be combined into several print ideas and experiments with engraving and cuts in fabrics.

INNOVATION: Oceanic Plastic Waste

FINAL OUTFITS

The concept in this collection is approached in a more aesthetically focus, aiding to find throughout the inspiration
and experimentation the right silhouettes. However, I also wanted to combine this concept with the idea of sustainability and transformable garment.

Therefore, my main aim and objective for this project is Sustainable Transformable Garments with a Plastic Ocean Waste visual approach. It is important for me to have sustainable/ecological fabrics in this collection, as well as thinking the way the production is executed. That’s why I am setting myself to fuse all these three factors into this collection, making it as most ethically and environmentally friendly as possible.
