Showcase

Statement

I discovered my true love and interest in branding and illustration. I enjoy experimenting with new and unusual approaches to make my work more engaging and less dull.

Independent Project – DAT’S U Exhibition

DAT’S U is an exhibition about body image insecurity. It targets people who suffer from Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), and the YOU who feel unconfident, frustrated, or ashamed of your own appearances and bodies.

DAT’S U aims to help you to embrace and appreciate your own “imperfections”. It also communicates the idea that you do not have to love your body 24/7, just accept those “flaws” are part of you. Sometimes, the flaws make you unique and stand out in the crowds.

Exhibition Displays

Illustrations are mainly created with rough lines, irregular shapes, and patterns to present a fun and abstract style. Colours are vivid and saturated to express a stimulating and engaging impression. The illustrations demonstrate and emphasize the imperfections you see in yourselves.

Social Media Campaign

Instagram profile, posts, feeds, stories promotion.

Exhibition/ Promotional Materials

Tickets, Tote bags, Graphic T-shirts

Bring It Back – Hyperball

Hyperball is an extreme team ball game, which requires players to play in a dark environment. As the ball bounces powerfully, players have to jump, fly, catch, and throw the ball. This game also requires players to wear special costumes to play.

The idea of hyperball was based on an icy hi-bounce ball, a popular tiny bouncy ball among teens in the past. Hyperball targets teenagers and young adults. It aims to regain the excitement of nowadays teens as the pandemic has made their lives dull and frustrating. It also resonates with their motto: YOLO, to explore and try everything without regretting it.

The brand identity visually emphasizes the strength and power of the ball, as well as its dramatic movements and speed.

Packaging Designs

1. Big box bags – to carry game costumes and balls
2. Costume plastic bags – special detective costumes for the game (body vest, upper arms and forearms appearls, trousers)
3. Balls boxes

App Design

The app is designed to do score tracking. It connects to the detective costumes and balls via Bluetooth. The costumes are sensible when a ball hits its spotted area, then points will be counted automatically.
