Statement

My work was inspired by the increase in time spent at home as a result of the pandemic leading to the opportunity to create innovative home solutions incorporating wellbeing.

The portfolio

Wellbeing is becoming increasingly important and we need to recognise it as an essential and core part of a brands purpose. The recent world events have caused an increase in loneliness, anxiety and stress across all age ranges and with more time being spent within the home, now is the time to find innovative, digital solutions to enhance the experience of the consumer.

My inspiration came from increased time spent at home and the need to enhance at-home experiences. The Coronavirus pandemic caused an eruption in new trends and buying behaviour. Potentially the most significant impact was the increased time spent at home. The isolation from the outside world resulted in loneliness and anxiety but also gave people more time with their families and a renewed perspective about what’s important to them.

Having personally experienced both the benefits and drawbacks of remote working and at-home living, I was inspired to find solutions to enhance the experience at home giving people digital and physical ways to better experience their space and make the most of their time at home.
