Statement
My work explores the use of specialty yarns, such as high twist wools, and how they can be used to shape woven fabrics.

Visual Research
I was interested in creating depth in my visual research through use of light and shadow. I also wanted to use a limited selection of materials, and create all the effects without editing which allowed me to do a lot of experimentation. To translate these ideas into weave, I used a jacquard loom to create lightweight fabrics as well as fabrics with geometric, non-repeat designs.
