Showcase

Statement

This fun and vibrant sustainable knitwear collection is aimed towards the unisex childrenswear market, specifically between the ages 4 and 8 years old.

Rock structures were the main focal point for this collection due to their geometric structures and clear line formations showing curve-ability, bumps, angles, smooth surfaces and jagged edges. The complexity of the strata within the rock construction lends itself to very three-dimensional experimental knitwear pieces, as well as simplified jacquard designs. The tactility and visual aspects of this collection is to amuse and entertain the young age group. Traditional Fair Isle knitwear and Aran knitwear pieces were a major inspiration for this collection due to current market research showing a surge in traditional knitwear. Both have been re-designed in a modern way to fulfil the aim to intrigue the target market. Alongside the more traditional knitted pieces within the collection are some simple ribbed samples which utilise the vibrant colour palette, bringing the collection together.
